Selina: “They were just children, Alfred, and… and… he tore them… tore them apart!”Alfred: “Please, Miss Kyle, try to rest.”Selina: “No. Never. Not until the Joker pays.”Alfred: “He is already dead.”Selina: “Dead? How…?”Alfred: “The Batman… he… it was on the television. I don’t know if it was a deliberate act or an accident — Master Bruce hasn’t spoken a word since returning. I fear he found his way back here purely by instinct. After all he has endured. There is nothing else left… Perhaps not even the will to live.”

So there’s this awful turn of events in Justice League: The Nail, where the Joker brutally tortures and kills both Dick and Barbara in front of a captured Bruce. Bruce eventually manages to escape, and brings an unconscious Selina back to the Batcave, where upon he collapses in that chair and remains catatonic for an unspecified amount of time.
Later, Selina and Alfred try to shock Bruce from his state by doing, what I think, is one of the most messed up things ever: dressing Selina up in Dick’s clothes. This is Bruce’s reaction to that:

The whole thing is just really desperately sad. :(

It’s a comic, but it’s not funny. I know. I’m sorry.

Totally preferred this costume over Cassie’s normal jeans and t-shirt get-up. Even with the ridiculous shoulder pads, I just loved it.
